The demands of late capitalism can cause many of us to rush through our days and I know myself how exhausting it is. Run here, run there, cross items off the to-do list, check the calendar, answer the emails, rinse and repeat. I have a master's degree and I'm worldly. I know how it is, and I can talk about it intelligently. I'll make you laugh while I'm at it - promise.
I like to think I offer an alternative to all that rushing around. I pride myself on my ability to delight in the small things and slow. down. Lingering is my favorite. Languor and decadence delight me. I love fine food, good lighting, a lovely glass of wine, a fireworks display - the little things that elude us for too many precious waking hours.
