Cancellations

I understand life happens and sometimes you have to cancel, that being said notice is appreciate and no shows & no calls are not. It is unfortunate when a client has to cancel, however I am a low-volume and reserved that time just for you. I’m not told 24hrs ahead I’m not able to fill that spot again and I’m taking a loss.
So I ask for 1/3 of my hourly rate ($100) as a cancellation fee, just like if I were to cancel a spa appointment same day, I’d pay a 50% fee. When a client pays the fee it shows they respect me as well as my time, and the ones that do so are the ones I will put special time and effort into!
